The drive down the coast was awesome. So many varied vistas. The day started foggy and misty, where we could hardly see the coast next to us, to sun beating down on us hard. And always the coast on our right! So beautiful!
We stopped off in a little sleepy town called Bandon, although for a long time we thought and called in "Brandon". It's fishing town with adorable shops and coffee places. There was a man singing songs out of a bar, with lovely gravelly voice, when someone shouted "pipe down, you communist!" It seemed like a fun town where everybody knew each other. Definitely worth stopping over.
The latter half of the drive happened as the sun was setting and again words cannot do the colossal views we were presented with.
From the night before, we learnt that motels close up by 10pm, so we rushed through the California border- not before a pic, though. We wanted to do the Redwood trails the following day, so we decided to stay in Klamath.
We found the prettiest motel, with a great deal for a room with kitchen and sitting room. My only regret was that we couldn't stay another night.
